Just Imagine No Heaven, Only Gaia

Being a geologist, time is measured differently but, because to me (at least), history is just extension of geology, I noticed that for more than 100 years there have been no big volcanic eruptions. This is quite remarkable! In the 19th century, for example, the Krakatoa (1883) and especially Toba (1815) eruptions were really large! In 535 AD, after a previous Krakatoa eruption, the amount of sulfate in the atmosphere spiked dramatically and for 2 years the sun was not visible and all over the world, people suffered because of it. Even older eruptions, like the Santorini volcano (1610 BC) simply ended the Minoan civilization.
All the above is remarkable and not only that, but if a big volcanic eruption will happen soon, I believe this is not all!

Ever since 17th century, when the first North Magnetic Pole was measured, it was all over the place but then started to navigate towards from Geographic North Pole (1908 – 2020 AD) – as you can see in the photo. Why exactly? We do not know.

There is also the fact that a magnetic pole reversal – North Pole becoming South Pole and back many times. However, did not happen for a long, long time (Brunhes/Matuyame).

Why? We do not really know but it is interesting that in the same time, the spinning of the Earth’s axis is accelerating! (https://phys.org/news/2021-01-earth-faster.html). Certainly, it could be just a coincidence, but Murphy’s law is also something too powerful to ignore (at least for me). Maybe due to the spinning of the axis, a big eruption will occur and possibly another one soon after? If this would happen, there is also a deeper meaning to extract – that is in relation to the mantle and core of our planet.

For a very long time, we had no important Large Igneous Provinces (LIP) occurring – immense accumulation of magmatic igneous rocks, mostly basalt – like the Columbia River (Oregon & Washington).

What if another mantle plume will open again sooner than later? What if a big volcanic eruption and geomagnetic reversal are the prelude to the next LIP? What will this mean for humanity? It would be an apocalypse, true and true! Or maybe Gaia will once again, direct the rocks and water and air and animals in the other direction …  (https://drsilvestru.wordpress.com/2016/06/10/planeta-noastra/ for people who read in Romania language)
